so when i was doing the whole college thing fresh out of high school I ended up going to a teeny school in even teenier Hickory, NC…and we’ll just say I had a fantastic GPA killing time and met some really great people. One of the most amazing people that I was blessed to meet is Jimmy Rhine. and as he was passing though town we got together for coffee.

Jimmy is currently touring with a bluegrass / folk /old timey music band from NC, selling merch, driving the van, street team stuff and he’s amazing

feedback is good..

so tonight i’m stuck at home instead of traveling to Myrtle Beach to catch the mewithoutyou show. three perfectly good tickets are wasting away by my side screaming to be used… its slightly depressing if you ask me.

hopefully a friend of mine will be able to go and scalp the other two… but tomorrow night. ITS ON i’m going to see the show with the same line up in Raleigh with another close friend and it will be fantastic. if you haven’t seen mewithoutyou in concert..you need to before you die, it should be up there on you priority list just below the flaming lips and above KISS.

Mewithoutyou has always been the best concert. Its not just merely a showcase of their amazing talent, but its a religious experience…everyone singing in unison, hands in the air, with Aaron tossing apples and oranges into the audience which are bitten and passed around…

everyone knows the words and everyone sings and dances…coming together because of music.

so i was just told that a member of hawthorne heights passed away in his sleep…and i had to write a blog.

now mind you, i haven’t listened to hawthorne heights…ever, but they were on the bill of a few shows i went to…and they weren’t all that bad..but this is some really sad news.

k so i had amazing thoughts as i sat in church this morning with my family…thoughts about a big purple blimp that made willy wonka candy fall out of the sky…i’m craving sugar and pizza and beer right now like mad. its been forever since i’ve had pizza!

Copeland has a brand new c.d. of old songs and b-sides that was released on the 20th of this month…and its fantastic of course.

and my favorite part about it is that they re-realsed the stuff on the pacifico slipt EP like…”may i have this dance” and that “awful memory of yours” which are my favorite songs by them of all time. and maybe this will mean that i get to see them performed live. because the very first time i saw them back in i think 03′ i asked them to play those songs and aaron said they didn’t anymore and that they were old.

so now i’m super duper excited……and “Second Star to the left” is on there too! BAH!!!! it is a great month in music

in other news::

I heard an amazing cover of the moldy peaches “Whos Got the Crack?” on college radio WUSC the other day. Its by a thrash/punk/ska band from Columbia :: Murder Media and the song is on their myspace…go listen!

speaking of the moldy peaches, Kimya Dawson is contributing to the Juno soundtrack as per pitchfork media. which is exciting and will be the only reason i go see this movie.

off to visit with my grandmother…more stuff later!

eat some pizza for me and go see murder media with me at NBT on Dec 11 with Sick Sick Sick and Kennedy Curse!!!!!

not much has been going on.

oh and the “adair suicide” you can ignore that..i’ve decided not to do suicide girls anymore due to the legal issues they were having…maybe i’ll go out for Gods Girls..maybe i won’t not sure my trust in these sites anymore, so i might just create my own pay site…because yes, i think people would pay to see me naked..i mean, i already get paid to be naked so why not on the internet?? yeah?

speaking of being naked..i’ve been on a short hiatus from work for the past 3 weeks due to some overwhelming family issues and sickness. and since i’m all better, and i’ve forgotten about the people that have died…i can go back to work

JK guys i haven’t forgotten the people who died, but its not constantly on my mind anymore which is a relief. grief is very taxing on your heart and brain.

My weekend was crazy good. I played pool for a few hours and then went to a house party where the kegs were banked and the liquor had been hidden…and a massive fight broke out..we were asked to leave as the cops were pulling up…it was SIC!!!!!
